Sweetheart dance

Sofia and Chris went to the Sweetheart dance last night at Bonneville High school. I got a little bit of them getting ready to leave. Sofia looked amazingly beautiful. I am sure she took Chris' breath away.

Friday the "13th"

Wow! It's really friday and supposedly the bad luck day. I don't think it will be bad luck. I don't believe in that. I am showing houses all day today. The people that I have been working with are pretty fun. They have a great sense of humor and I am excited to get to work with them again today. It's Valentines weekend and I just got a call last night for a last minute person to rent the cabin. I think it would be fun to go and play up in Island Park this weekend. Hopefully these people will want to.

Abbi is writing a book report, Lauren is going to a birthday party and Berg, well he's berg.

TTFN (Ta Ta for now!)

blazey day

So far today I have cleaned my house. It has needed it soooo bad. I am so grateful that I have good friends. My friend Darla came and helped me clean it. I am so grateful to her for her help. I am so disgusted by the way I have let it go. It looks tons better and even though it is still not done. It is a great start and the kids, although will not be happy, will have to help with the rest (the downstairs). Anyway, back to work.

We are having a great snow storm today. It just keeps comming down. Even though it would be nice to have it all gone, the new stuff makes it possible for us to continue sleeding at the Ucon pit with the kids. It also covers up the dirty looking snow and makes it so things don't look so depressing outside.

My friend Darla was telling me about a conversation she had with someone about canning. We are really excited about the prospect of doing our gardens and canning this year. This lady was saying that she puts herself on a canning schedule all year and that she does the winter stuff in the winter and summer stuff etc. So, she asked what winter stuff was and it was a huge eye opener for me and a great idea! Chili in the winter, soups, potatos. Why didn't I think of that? This lady was brilliant.

O.k. back to work. Not the house but my other job!

Weekend Sledding with friends

Last weekend we were invited to go sledding with some friends. We had a blast. Below is the video that we took from our fun experience. We also went this weekend. The snow was a little icy, but that just meant we went down faster. The kids had fun and so did us (the parents) Below is the video of our experience.

Lauren makes her kip

So, the biggest thing with Lauren and being a level 5 gymnast is she has been struggling to do her kip on the uneven bars. She was challenged to get it done. Well, yesterday I saw it happen. I am so proud of her. She has finally made her kip!!!! I am constantly amazed at the things my kids can accomplish when they put their mind to it.

So, on Friday I have set up a realtor appreciation party for all the realtors in our community. I am nervous and excited to see how many people show up if any do. The fear is they won't show. So, out of 400 realtors, I am expecting about 20 will show. I hope it is fun.

Blake has refinished a coffee table for the YMCA fundraiser event this Satuday. They are having a semi-formal dinner and auction that night. Some friends of ours bought a table and invited us to be with them. It should be fun to meet and greet new people.

With the economy being as crazy as it has been, I am just grateful to have my family and now that no matter what we will always have each other.

Our Family

So, here is my family. We have had a great Christmas, New Years, Berg's Baptism, and it's hard to think we are already to Valentines day. Or as one of my friends would call it, Single Awareness Day.

Berg is funny, he always has a joke, Abbi is quiet and serious and loves to cheer for school, Lauren is still doing gymnastics. She is a level 5 gymnast. Blake is still enhancing his life fixing people's furniture, and I am living my lifelong dream of selling Real Estate.

Things are good. Our family is happy. This year we have an exchange student. We decided to copy the Doug Eddie family. She is sweet and kind and fits in perfectly with our family.

I had a hysterectomy this year (best thing I have done since age 14) and to have this extra child in my home has been a blessing. She is so much like my kids in so many ways. My kids love her. She is from Portugal.

Berg is taking portuguese lessons now and hopes to go and visit Sofia's brother and family. He has taken a liking to them.
